One of her achievements was being an National Merit Scholar and attended the University of San Diego on academic scholarships, and she graduated with distinction in 2003. Watney took part in Miss California USA in 2002, where she was first second place. From September 2003 onwards, Watney worked for KMPH-TV (FOX 26) in Fresno. She started as the morning traffic reporter. She then transitioned to the weekend sports anchor as well as the sports reporter on weekdays in 2005. [3]Watney moved to Massachusetts in 2008 and started working for New England Sports Network (NESN). She was an on-game reporter for the Boston Red Sox. Watney was also host of the Ultimate Red Sox Show and the Red Sox Report.In January 2012, Watney began working for Time Warner Cable SportsNet as reporter for the LA Galaxy. In November 2012, Watney was hired by MLB Network. She worked there for nine years. [5] She was formerly the host for Quick Pitch. In 2022 she joined Apple TV+. 6 Heidi Watney served as a field reporter for the MLB on TBS 2022.
