Niykee keeps writing music despite having been caught up in the recent chaos. Her selection was made for this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats she receives and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. Within five seconds, I know what a song is or not. Then I get an idea of an original song, and start writing it immediately. When I sit at my front porch, playing guitar, lyrics will appear and usually are completed in less than thirty minutes. As she continues develop as a lyricist Niykee notes that the pain of her experiences in the past is a constant source of unimaginable inspiration. It's hard to avoid memories that are painful from my youth, especially the loss of my sister. These memories are incorporated in her music. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper meaning under everything which is among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can hear any of my songs in 20 years from now and still be proud of what I said.
