Firefly The Firefly, the new hit Whedon series, was a result of one-off episodes. Summer Glau's River Tam was a complicated persona that Glau was able to handle with ease. Tam was a character who Tam was forced to be a part of trials conducted by the government in which she was trained to be an assassin. Tam had difficulty learning to regulate her emotions, as a result. In Firefly Glau was able to show off not only her acting abilities but also her fighting skills. Her experience as an assassin gave her the opportunity to use the full range of athletic skills she has. Summer Glau, a trained classical ballerina. Her broken toe marked the final straw for her as a dancer. Firefly did not last for more than one season, but it gained a huge fan following. So passionate that Whedon went back to it just a couple of years after. Summer Glau kept on getting an excellent job. Summer Glau appeared in TV programs such as Cold Case, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
